POLY WAVE has an angled screw head washer with triangle bent to make it wavy, heat-treated to give it elasticity and hardness. Therefore, screw head itself is superior to spring lock washer or toothed lock washer.
POLY WAVE is not only much more effective than loosening prevention with any washer. Its unwinding torque is rather higher than the tightening torque. It is because by tightening POLY WAVE, its wavy bearing surface elastically adheres to the tightening object, and at the same time, the wavy convex part bites into the tightening object while applying plastic deformation. After the tightening is completed, POLY WAVE receives vibration and makes self-loose rotation. During the rotation, its convex part bites into the tightening object much deeper, which results in an increase in the unwinding torque, which gives great effect in loosening prevention.
Since POLY WAVE has a screw and washer integrated structure, its assembly hours are reduced. It improves work efficiency and reduces total cost.
POLY WAVE eliminates the need for washers. It saves trouble of order and inventory management, which contributes to work simplification.
The material is low carbon steel and it is subjected to carburizing quenching and tempering. Its surface treatment can be galvanized, nickel plated or chrome plated.
